The answers to the questions parents ask us most often.
What if my child is scared?
This is the question parents ask us most, and it is a fair one: seen from below, a column of air several metres high is impressive.
Here is what actually happens. The briefing explains everything calmly, before you even go near the wind tunnel. Your child watches other people fly before their turn. Then the instructor steps in with them and stays by their side from start to finish. The apprehension disappears within the first seconds of flight — usually the moment parents wish they had taken their phone out sooner.

My child is 4. Isn’t that too young?
No. Four is the starting age, and often the age of the finest flights: at four you have not yet learned to be afraid. The wind power is set for each child’s build.
Is it dangerous?
There is no aircraft, no parachute and no jump. Your child flies in a column of air, in a flight suit, helmet and protective gear, with a professional instructor beside them in the wind tunnel from start to finish. No child is ever pushed into the wind tunnel.
My child is small and light. Is there a minimum height or weight?
None. From the age of 4, whatever their build. The wind is set for each child.
My child is shy and does not like new things.
The briefing takes place calmly, before going near the wind tunnel: they will know exactly what is going to happen before they step in. And an adult flying with them changes everything.
Do I have to stay on site?
Yes. A parent or guardian must be present for the whole session.
How does the session work?
Welcome, briefing, full equipment, then the supervised flights. Allow 1 hour 30 to 2 hours on site in total, welcome included. Please arrive 1 hour before your flight (your arrival time is on your booking confirmation).
Does the instructor hold them during the flight?
It depends on the child. The instructor stays with them in the wind tunnel from start to finish and adapts: constant contact for the youngest or the most hesitant, more freedom as soon as they feel comfortable.
Can I watch them fly?
Yes. There is a free spectator area right beside the wind tunnel, and the reception area also looks onto the tunnel. You are welcome to film with your phone.
Are there photos and videos?
Yes, a professional photo and video service is available as an option. You can also buy the photos and videos after the flight on media.indoorskydive.lu: they must be downloaded within 7 days.
Can I fly with them?
Yes, and that is what we recommend. Add an adult package at the same date and time: your child is reassured, and you share the same memory instead of watching through the glass. See the adult packages →
How many flights are in a package?
LUXSTART KIDS includes 2 flights, that is 2 minutes of flight. LUXFLEX KIDS is built to order: 4, 6 or 8 flights, that is 4, 6 or 8 minutes.
What should they wear?
Comfortable, casual clothing, jeans and trainers. The suit, helmet and protective gear are provided.
Are there any medical restrictions?
After a shoulder dislocation, flying is only possible if the shoulder has been operated on and fixed (pins, hooks). Other shoulder surgery or a fracture does not prevent flying. Always tell the instructor. The maximum weight is 120 kg. Please also tell the instructor about any other health issue before the flight.
Can I give a flight as a gift?
Yes. Every package is available as a gift voucher, valid for 12 months from purchase.

What if we need to change the date?
Bookings are subject to strict cancellation rules. If your date is not certain, add the Flexibility option when you book.
Where is LUXFLY?
In Sterpenich, part of Arlon (Belgium), 300 m from the Luxembourg border and 15 minutes from Luxembourg City. Easy to reach from Thionville, Metz, Trier and the Saarland. Open Wednesday to Friday from 12 noon to 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm; closed Monday and Tuesday, except the first Monday of each month.
